"At-Will"
Employment
The Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania is an "at-will" employer
that presumes that all employees have the right -- upon giving proper notice,
as described herein -- to terminate their employment at their own free will.
Similarly, the Unified Judicial System reserves the right -- upon giving proper notice,
as described herein -- to terminate any individual's employment when such action is
determined to be in the best interest of the Unified Judicial System.
Employees of the Unified Judicial System are not
subject to the state’s Civil Service Commission’s
policies and procedures, and are not, therefore,
selected for employment through the state civil service
process.
